KAMISAK–we are a family owned company from Lapland. We’ll look after you and our animal friends
Would you like to have an adventure in the wilderness in the most comfortable way? Kamisak is there to serve you when you want to enjoy nature without worrying about all the practicalities–we’ll look after those and your safety.
We are a small family company and know all about the local conditions, the laws of the wilderness, and nature’s miracles. You can reach us easily. The airport is only 30 minutes away by car and there are hotels and other services nearby.
WE LOOK AFTER OUR ENVIRONMENT
“We make sure that our nature won’t suffer because of us. We want to offer you experiences in nature without damaging it and promote our customers’ knowledge of the environment.”
Arctic Horse Center
FINNISH HORSES AND SANTA CLAUS
At Kamisak you can get to know the unique character of the Finnish Horse. Our stable–Arctic Horse Center at the Arctic Resort Kakslauttanen–offers you tours with Finnhorses year-round. At the Arctic Resort Kakslauttanen, you’ll also meet the most famous resident in Lapland, that is of course Santa Claus. In winter, you can visit Santa in his house. In summer, the elves look after you. Try your luck and go gold panning with the elves! Santa’s Celebration House has wonderful facilities for 250 people for dinners and meetings etc.
THE LOVE OF A HUNDRED DOGS
One dog alone radiates tonnes of love. How much love can you get from more than 100 dogs? Come to Kamisak and see for yourself! All our dogs are like family members, and each one of them has a name they respond to. The puppies learn the ways of the humans early on, however, this is done in the safety of their mother. There is plenty of room to run around and play with other dogs in our kennels.
WE SMILE A LOT HERE AT KAMISAK
We get to do our dream job with animals, nature and visitors who come from all around the world. The love and interaction with nature is something we have learned already as children; our small and youthful group lives and breathes outdoor life. We know all about the local conditions, the laws of the wilderness and nature’s miracles.
If you are interested in animals and nature, we offer you a fun and challenging learning environment as a trainee or volunteer worker. Tasks and conditions vary depending on the season, but you won’t be short of things to do and animals to care. We are looking for educated, experienced candidates with good language skills to guide our guests on multi-day dog sled excursions and riding excursions. If you think that you are one of the best, contact us!
